What is Reiki?
What is Reiki used to treat?
Reiki is said to help with a wide range of health conditions, including insomnia, stress, depression, anxiety, and pain. Reiki helps your body return to a state of relaxation so it is able to heal from damage brought on by stress, injury, or disease.
What is Reiki and how does it work?
Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation and reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch. Reiki practitioners use their hands to deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your energy to support healing.
What can I expect from my Reiki Treatment?
I will typically give Reiki treatment in a peaceful, private setting. However, the treatment can take place anywhere. During a session, the client will sit in a comfortable chair or lie on a table, fully clothed.
I will then place my hands lightly on or over specific areas of the client’s head, limbs and torso. I will typically keep my hands in these positions for 3-10 minutes.
If there is a particular injury, such as a burn, I will hold my hands just above the wound. While I hold my hands lightly on or over the body, an energy transfer takes place. During this time, my hands may feel warm.
I will hold each hand position until I sense that the energy has stopped flowing. When I feel that the heat, or energy, in my hands has gone, I will remove my hands and place them over a different body area.
